Media & Event Specialist Job Description
The Part-Time Media & Event Specialist will be responsible for creating engaging photo, video, and graphic content to promote The Hub SBY’s brand, events, workshops, and studio offerings. This role will also manage the distribution of content across various digital platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and, on occasion, Twitch.
The Media & Event Specialist will play a key role in supporting The Hub SBY’s marketing and event initiatives by ensuring consistent, high-quality visual storytelling that aligns with the organization’s mission and creative vision.
This position will be supervised by the Owner of The Hub SBY, Jordan Ray.
Roles & Responsibilities
Capture and produce photo and video content for events, workshops, and studio activities
Design basic graphic assets for promotional and digital use
Edit and prepare content for web and social media platforms
Publish and schedule content across social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Twitch (as needed)
Assist with on-site media coverage during events and workshops
Collaborate with The Hub SBY team to support promotional campaigns and creative initiatives
Maintain organized media files and content archives
Preferred Skills & Experience
Experience with photography and videography, including shooting and basic editing
Proficiency in content creation tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar platforms
Familiarity with social media platforms and best practices for digital engagement
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines
Comfortable working in fast-paced, creative environments
Interest in community-based programming, events, or creative entrepreneurship
Prior experience with event coverage or digital marketing is a plus

Compensation is set at $15 per hour (minimum wage)
Employees are expected to work a minimum of 5 hours per week
This position is paid on a bi-weekly basis
