About the event
This introductory workshop explores various types of voice acting, including commercial narration, character voices, and audiobooks. Participants will learn breath control, vocal warm-ups, and microphone techniques, gaining hands-on experience recording their own voice-over samples.
This event is hosted by Ilyana Kadushin, an award-winning voice performer, educator, and audiobook narrator known for her work with major media networks and bestselling titles, including The Twilight Saga, Dune, and voice-over roles for Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, and BBC America. In addition to her performance career, Ilyana is a seasoned workshop leader and voice coach who motivates people of all ages to find and use their unique voice through music, storytelling, and performance. She also serves as the Executive Director of the nonprofit Stories Love Music and has taught voice and public speaking at institutions including NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.
